EHONISSA web portal is a web application which allows users to search criminal databases (FBI and RCMP) by name and multiple criteria and also using facial search by downloading a picture or using the live search option by connecting a camera or a webcam. The live option can be used to improve security in public areas (buildings, banks, etc...) and in private homes. The program takes a picture every 1s of anybody passing in front of the camera and displays his/her information if this person is wanted or kidnapping/missing. EHONISSA allows also to find people you know and you have lost contact with using multiple criteria. Users can also share their experiences about any institution (Company, College, University, Rental Company, etc…). So, if a user is willing to rent a new apartment or join a new organization he/she can search at EHONISSA some information about the type of environment he/she will have to deal with.
