Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2007, Bernard Poulin launched his highly successful company while he was still an undergraduate student in Canada. S.M. Group International Inc. (SMi), was originally founded to focus on earth science and quality control, and featured a laboratory that conducted soil engineering. Over time, the focus of SMi shifted to project development, project and asset management, and systems and networks integration.
